Welcome to Validate Mental Health Consultants.

Validate Mental Health Consultants is a Canada-wide firm offering speaking engagements, workshops, and training on a variety of mental health topics. Each member of our team has lived experience and offers services based on their area of expertise. We strive to combine our education and clinical experience with knowledge that can only be gained by walking the path of recovery. This allows us to approach the subject matter in an accessible and human way. We believe in the power of authenticity and compassion to create safe spaces to hold such conversations, to support others and to combat stigma.

Nous offrons aussi certains de nos services en Français. Veuillez nous contacter pour plus de détails.

Client Feedback

“We were so fortunate to have Valéry Brosseau speak to our student population. Her message was one of hope and resilience in the face of the inevitable challenges of life. Weeks later we are still talking about that message with our students - especially that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. What an impactful way to start our year! Thank you, Val, for opening up such an important conversation in our school.”

POSITIVE SPACE

It is our understanding at Validate Mental Health Consultants that many Indigenous folks find land acknowledgments performative, and we feel that including one only serves to assuage our discomfort with Canada's genocidal history, which we benefit from daily. In lieu of a land acknowledgment, we encourage anyone who benefits from settler colonialism, including ourselves, to reflect on the systemic inequities our institutions are built on and to educate ourselves on how they can be dismantled and how concrete change can be effected. Part of reconciliation is about decolonizing our thinking, our attitudes, our strategies and the ways we engage with the world.

We also commit to learning from Indigenous people, educating ourselves, supporting Indigenous businesses, supporting policy change with positive impact for Indigenous communities, volunteering and donating to Indigenous organizations and celebrating Indigenous film, television, art, music, literature, culture, knowledge and practices.
